Capital One Business defined a lot of what we think of as “small business advertising.” But sometimes the blueprint you create is so successful that it means you need to step away from it if you want to remain an innovator. We leveraged their partnership with the Inc. 5000 conference to create a presence both on the ground and around the event in social to showcase the work small business owners put in to make it to where they are now--as honorees on the Inc. 5000. Our initial campaign idea, “The 5000 Things,” was so successful that it influenced the creation of a new content series, “The One,” which extended the idea beyond this singular moment to tell stories of the most singularly important ideas, relationships, and efforts our small business partners had in building their businesses.
